Re: Re: TTD - executable version

I totally agree with Fabri Silva. I'm also playing the Gonozal Patch Pack r12180, which includes several improvements over the 'stock' OpenTTD, like a very realistic PBS system, trains stopping in the middle of stations and Passenger Destinations, which drastically changes the way passengers (and mail) is created and transported. For example, in both stock-OTTD and TTDP passengers would move towards the next station in line, and leave there. Now, they stay put until they've really reached their destination. Even when they have to walk a bit for transfers, they can still reach a destination.

So, OTTD-Gonozal Patch Pack is really a recoomendation. Check out TT-Forums/OpenTTD Development/Gonozal_VIII's Patch Pack r12180 (or perhaps a later revision number) and download the Win32 Binary and the Copypaste GRF which are both included in the first post. When using Linux, for now you'd have to download the Patches and the Source and Patch and Compile yourself, but I'll release a Linux Binary next Wednesday.

I'm currently playing the Gonzoal Patch Pack, that is OpenTTD. There
is a very interesting thread about your question in the TT-Forums.
Personally, I could not live another day without all the useful
features of OpenTTD.
