A word of warning though, third party modifications like this patch pack you 
talk of are unsupported by the OpenTTD developers, and may not be maintained 
in the future. You may not be able to load your saved games into official 
versions of OpenTTD, and third party versions may well be buggier than the 
trunk, so you should keep these things in mind if you want to be able to 
reuse your saved games in the future.
