Re: running openttd on linux

They're exactly the same. Maybe your synthesized is different? I had the opportunity to play both DOS and Windows tycoons on the same General MIDI synthesizer and they sounded exactly the same. If you would like to invent the wheel and dump DOS music yourself you would need two computers with MIDI interfaces, one of them capable of running DOS (or Win98). Here I uploaded the gm directory (I don't think Roland or OPL-2 would be of any use).

I've modified gm_tt00.gm to begin and end on musical periods, because it did not loop nicely, at least on my machine. Original is included. There was a bad track which muted MIDI system after playing, or inserted silence. I believe it has also been fixed.

Thanks Owen, that's exactly what I ended up doing. They're not the same
as the DOS ones though, but until I figure how to unpack those files,
I'll have to make do with the newer Windows music :-)
