Re: Re: TTD - executable version

I do know Traffic Giant. PaxDest will randomly make passengers travel from specific stops to other stops, dependent of how large the city is and where the stop is placed etc.

Just as Fabri and Owen say, patches are user-made 'extensions' to OpenTTD, which are indeed not supported by the Devteam. For the Gonozal Patch Pack, several patches do change the saveload.cpp file, which automatically makes it impossible to use your Patched Savegame in the Regular OTTD-version. Otherwise, Regular OTTD-version savegames are for as far as I know not supported in the Gonozal Patch Pack, due to several changes in for example signal handling (YAPP: Yet Another PBS Patch changes that drastically)

2 questions:

1) and what are those OpenTTD Patch Packs? Just a bunch of configuration, add-ons (like graphic sets etc.) and the OpenTTD? I am just curious, if normal user can set his OpenTTD in the same way as when he downloads the pack.

2) ad those destinations... You probably dont know Traffic Giant, but there citizens from every house wants to go shopping in particular building, they work in another particular building and ho to school in another.
How is it here? Do every passenger from specific town to travel to another town, or how is it made?
