May I suggest the alt.games.microprose.transport-tyc newsgroup? :-)

Thanks, good suggestion - only problem is - my provider doesn't offer a
newsfeed, and I'm not really keen on paying for it. Is that group
available anywhere for free?

Some webportals offer Usenet access if you sign up for a free e-mail account (gazeta.pl is the one I'm using, but AFAICT the registration pages are in Polish only - though if you're desperate, I could translate the key parts for you :-) ). Apart from that, you could look at http://www.dmoz.org/Computers/Usenet/Public_News_Servers/ and see which of the services mentioned there carry the group (I see that e.g. news.motzarella.org does, but I haven't tried using it, so I don't know how reliable it is).

For reading, I use freetext.usenetserver.com, since it has very long retention times. The only snag is that I have to change the server manually whenever I want to reply. Fortunately, it's a matter of just two extra clicks in Seamonkey.
